Tongjian TBM buggy

In 2002, in China's largest city, Shanghai, the company Tongjian began manufacturing TBM street buggies, which were a real world sensation at the time. After several initial difficulties, Mr. Gu, the owner of the company, got the business under control. Most of the problems, apart from a few other details, mainly revolved around the cooling, the transmission and the rigid construction of the exhaust system. However, thanks to our specialist knowledge and know-how, we were able to jointly remove these obstacles relatively quickly.

Mr. Gu's potential and qualities did not go unnoticed for long. For this reason, it is not surprising that other producers, such as PGO in Taiwan, also tried to jump on the bandwagon. Tongjian TBM then delivered many finished and semi-finished goods to PGO in Taiwan, which were then put on the market there as their own products. The production and sales increased visibly afterwards to an enormous boom. A subcontractor was set up with the company TBM, which was then included in the production of parts.

We can rightly count ourselves among the real pioneers in business with China. As a result, we were immediately aware of all developments in the vehicle sector. Even today we still have our vehicles and parts manufactured in our controlled and selected plants, where we had the opportunity to get to know the management and technical staff personally. No matter which parts you need for your mobile pedestal, you will generally find it with us.

Adly

In Taiwan, near the city of Ciai, there is another notable vehicle manufacturing facility called Adly. Good engineering and excellent quality are the hallmarks of this company, which is run by the Chen family.

The senior boss of the plant is an exemplary entrepreneur and designer. Fortunately, he received a lot of support from his dedicated daughter YuYu and her husband. This led to the fact that they were even able to bring the company to the stock exchange with their combined forces.

When it comes to the manufacture of street quads for the European market, Adly was one of the first producers. We have been involved in the development from day one and in the first year we not only sold the planned amount of 500 quads, but five times as much, i.e. 2500 vehicles. We are rightly very proud of this success.

At a later point in time, we decided to relocate the company headquarters to mainland China, as Taiwan has meanwhile developed into a high-wage country in view of the generally rising prices. In retrospect, that was an intelligent one, because the increasing price pressure would have meant that we would no longer have been able to manufacture competitive products.

Today Adly has completely said goodbye to the production of scooters and almost only produces quads.

AEON

Clearly, the manufacturer Aeon in Taiwan did not remain hidden from us for long. The boss, Mr. Allen and his partner Mr. Galli, who came from the Fantic company in Italy, developed various scooters and quads according to Adly.

After the usual initial problems, #production in the direction of quads stabilized, although business with motorized two-wheelers has now probably come to a standstill. Of the quads in particular, the powerful ATVs were a sales success. First of all in Asia and next in the USA and Europe. Many distributors and manufacturers of other vehicles now buy from Aeon both quads of different variants as well as ATVs and UTVs, which they then market with their own label. We also had quads from Aeon in our vehicle range for years, but we have since given up this business model due to insufficient sales. However, you can still obtain the built-in parts for these UTVs, ATVs and quads from us.

AGM

AGM stands for ATV, GOKART AND MOTORCYCLES-FACTORY. This is a production-related cooperation with an Asian manufacturer. We have been using the company name AGM for product marketing for many years. The business partner of the joint venture company, which was founded in the north of the Chinese Empire, was a certain Mr. Wang. A new approximately 4000 m² production hall was already in place, but there was no promising plan. We absolutely had to create that in advance. For a long time we tried to create the conditions for a production.

First of all, we designed a corresponding quad frame, as this did not exist before. The 350 cc drive unit was still on the test bench. In addition, the clean function the switching unit left a lot to be desired. Finally we had managed to run the zero series when something happened that we hadn't expected in our dreams: During a regular visit to the "Bank of China" we discovered that someone from our account had an enormous sum of money had stolen. During the subsequent research by the financial institution, it was found that the illegal access to our business account was made by our Chinese business partner, using a self-made copy of our name stamp, which he received from the local office, to be passed on to us in trust give. It is safe to understand that, by and large, this has been an enormously stressful story for us. But with the support of another decent Chinese man and the Lord Mayor, we were able to get back our then not inconsiderable amount of money, in spite of all prophecies of doom. A lot of people expressed concern that we would ever get the money invested again. Fortunately, we were able to prove these pessimists wrong.

Baotian

The production plant for motorcycles, quads and scooters was founded by Baotian over 20 years ago in Jiangman. The city is located in Guangdong County, some distance from the seaports. Although the prices are in the lower price segment, there are still some additional costs for the further transport route. If a producer is closer to the ports with his business, he has a higher profit in comparison.

During various visits to the company, we were able to establish good connections with management and senior staff, but this did not result in a decisive breakthrough to a successful cooperation.

For Baotian scooters, however, we can deliver the replacement elements. Although the motorized two-wheelers are still manufactured by Baotian, the markets have often moved to other continents. As far as this type of two-wheeler is concerned, countries in Asia and Africa are undoubtedly the main buyers at the moment.

CPI

In the early years after the founding of CPI, we examined the production of UTVs, quads, motorcycles and scooters several times. As a summary of our visits, we decided not to seek a business partnership with the company at the moment. At that time, CPI could not yet meet our strict requirements. At the moment, however, the company is looking a lot better. As far as shelf life is concerned, the products are definitely world market standards.

Before buying a scooter, customers clearly ask themselves whether comprehensive customer service is also offered, which not only offers workshop service but also home service. Of course we offer such customer service throughout Germany.

Jonway

In addition to cars, Jonway has also been producing scooters, quads and motorcycles since 2003. Remarkable units were made in the heyday. The Asian sales market was mainly supplied with around 30,000 automobiles produced each year. Primarily intended for the export markets were the motorcycles, quads and scooters with around 50,000 - 80,000 pieces per person. a. Incidentally, most of it was exported to Germany.

In addition to our scooters, Jonway also built a large number of the Kreidler and Rex two-wheelers. As expected, when Rex sales ended, production figures fell significantly. At the moment, however, they are also designing new products. These include, for example, the 4-wheel electric vehicles. Although these vehicles are currently still planned for the Chinese market, they will later also be exported to other countries.

The manufacturer of our scooters has been with Jonway for around a dozen years. The various production units run under our review without exception. We therefore make regular visits to Jonway with at least 2 members of our family. In this way, our two-wheelers always have the same high quality. Jonway produces with software-controlled production systems and excellent employees. With these modern production methods there are also no tolerance problems. I always act according to the principle: Trust is good, control is better!

Jincheng

The coveted "Dax" monkey replicas from the manufacturer Jincheng were our bestsellers for many years. We no longer carry the product, but we still have the built-in elements available for it. Today, however, there are only a handful of small motorcycle enthusiasts left. So it is certainly understandable that we did not force the import any further and let it fall asleep, as it were.

The home- and we will of course continue to carry out workshop service for these small two-wheelers. The replacement components are in our range, even for people who have not purchased their Monkey from us. Jincheng also manufactures motorcycles, buggies, scooters as well as UTVs and quads.

Keeway / Qianjiang

With around 13,000 employees, Qianjiang has been producing over 1 million scooters and motorcycles a year for almost 17 years, making it one of the most important factories in Asia.

This company is characterized by excellent management and top quality. Several visits to the company regularly amazed us. In addition to motorized scooters, the company also produces fun vehicles, quads, motorcycles, pumps, high-pressure cleaners, garden tools and much more. The company places particular emphasis on controlling. Absolutely nothing negative is known about the Qianjiang and Keeway brands, despite the considerable production volumes. We have both vehicles and built-in parts in stock.

Kreidler

The metalworker Anton Kreidler founded the Kreidler company in 1904. With the support of his son, graduate engineer Alfred Kreidler and his skills, he succeeded in setting up a company that mainly focused on the production of motorcycles. Surprisingly, the two world wars did little to harm the company.

The development of motorized two-wheelers was basically completely new territory at the beginning of the 20th century. At present, Kreidler motorcycles have set a number of speed records. But that has changed for a long time, because Kreidler was able to set several speed records and win world championship titles. These times have long been a thing of the past. Kreidler motorcycles have now set numerous speed records and won world championships. A lot of groundbreaking further developments had been registered as patents, which improved the driving comfort and thus contributed greatly to road safety. The popularity of motorcycles declined steadily from the middle of 1970, so that the company went bankrupt in 1982 and ultimately only Kreidler mopeds were built by the manufacturer Garelli. Finally, the Prophete company took over the former motorcycle manufacturer in the 1990s and now lets, among other things. Design vehicles of the brands Rex and Kreidler in Asia.

Rex

The Prophete Group has been producing REX motor scooters with great success for over 20 years.

With regard to an innovative measure, it had now been decided to dissolve this department. Prophete probably wants to push the development in other areas. The times of further development do not stop at these corporate branches.

For a while, Rex's production facilities ran two assembly lines at the same time, with the Rex scooters being manufactured on one line and our vehicles and scooters and vehicles on the other. We constantly send our inspectors to Prophete so that they can closely monitor the flawless production of our two-wheelers on site.

After the closure of the Rex scooter department, we took over the entire vehicle inventory. As a result, we can offer a comprehensive delivery and repair service from the Rex brand. The benefit is that you can make full use of our expertise with regard to the identical construction of a number of Rex models with ours.

SMC

Our relations with Taiwan go back to the late 1980s. We got to know the company SMC Corporation in the 1990s. The company was currently in the process of changing from textile production to roller production, which we clearly saw first-hand.

Due to excellent engineers and some qualified people in the company who contributed their know-how, SMC was able to manage the change without any difficulties worth mentioning.

We made our know-how available without question and not without ulterior motives. Thanks to our active support in the changeover to scooter production, we then received the necessary quality.

We were very impressed by the two owners of the company, Mr. Kuo (Guo) and the chief engineer, Mr. Chen, whom we got to know as energetic personalities.

Although Mister Kuo is already over 90 years old, he still works every day. Presumably he will stay there until one day he drops dead.

Fortunately, we will continue to have spare parts for Sundiro two-wheelers in stock.

PGO

Between 2004 and 2008 we were the general agency for PGO in Germany. At that time we had mostly sold the well-known Rodoshow, T-Rex, Big-Max, G-Max and PMX-Sport scooters. We still have the popular trike scooter in our range.

The main distinguishing features of the PGO scooters are their reliability and high product quality. A large part of the success, however, can also be attributed to the Taiwanese. There is most likely hardly any other race of people who is just as reliable and hardworking in terms of character and way of thinking.

PGO is also one of the few Taiwanese manufacturing companies that has approval to sell its vehicles in the domestic market. The pace at which this small nation is developing can, without exaggeration, be described as breathtaking. So it is not surprising that the high-tech articles from Taiwan are already of comparable quality.
